ACT 109: Existence Of Money

In the past, I dislike money as it seems that many troubles and evil things are caused by it. Even though I dislike money, nevertheless all of us requires money for survival. Although they said money is not everything ( which is true), money is still required for survival. Nearly everything we had required money or are related to money in some way or another. Thus, I came to accept the existence of money even though I dislike it.

When I went back home this evening, my mother and father were speaking to each other in serious manner softly. This only hints me of one thing: It's an important matter. When they paused their conversation, I asked them what happened and they told me that my uncle needed $13 000. It's either my father lent it to him or my father be his guarantor for his bank loan. My mother repeatedly asked my father not to lent him money or be his guarantor. My mother's reasons were that my uncle had borrowed money from us and many of our relatives. All the debts were eventually paid fortunately when my uncle won money in 4-d or Toto. In addition to that, if my father were to be his guarantor and my uncle happens not to be able to pay the money, my father as his guarantor will have to pay the money for him. Thus my mother meant good our family for our family. Right now, my parent's plan is to persuade my uncle to explain the situation to my grandmother and they will split the loan to my uncle.

In the past, my mother used to explain my uncle's debts to my brother and I. This was to remind us not to be like him. My image of this uncle was still good as I believed that he had turned over a new leaf. But right now, it seems that he has just made the same mistake for the third time.

Money truly can break bonds that we had, including blood ties...
